OUR HISTORY

Youth Need Opportunities Today.

YNOT Movement (Youth Need Opportunities Today) meets under resourced youth where they are at guides them toward a future where they can thrive in their community.

YNOT Movement is a 501(c)(3) in Los Angeles County. The organization was founded and is lead by Executive Director Adam Zaragoza who was incarcerated as a juvenile from the age of 13-16 and as an adult from the age of16-29 years of age in local Los Angeles County Probation Camps and State Prisons. This experience, along with gang violence that took the lives of his brother and his son, has led him to change the life's trajectories of young people following this same path by providing access to positive opportunities, education, case management, and crisis response.

YNOT currently works with youth hosed in residential Camp Afflerbaugh and residential placement homes through both Eggleston and Boys Republic, providing healthy relationship workshops, intervention, individual mentoring and goal setting for youth transitioning back to their communities. YNOT also follows up with the youth upon their re-entry, providing, additional services and linkaages to other CBO's.
